Inês Pereira de Almeida (Portugal)  – Founder / Dancer, Cultural Manager &  Artistic Consultant. Inês studied her Dance Diploma at the Dance School of the National Conservatoire of Lisbon (Portugal) and she developed her dance career in the National Companies of Portugal, Spain (CNB Portugal, CND Spain) and in the Ballet de L’Opera de Lyon (France). In these companies she interpreted classical, neo-classical and contemporary dance repertoire and worked with worldwide renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and Nacho Duato, among others. 

Holding  a degree in Science of information for the Cultural Heritage (Universidade Aberta – Portugal) and a Masters Degree in Internationalization and Cooperation for the Management of the Cultural and Creative Sector (Universidad Complutense – Madrid, Spain), Inês Co-Founded Piovra Colectivo (Madrid – Spain), a company centered on cultural industries and independent cultural projects. For this company she is still responsible for artistic productions, performance and choreography.

While living in Madrid, Inês also worked for two cultural programs of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) – Iberarchivos (Communication department) and Iberescena (cultural Management) and for the Spanish state agency for internationalization of culture (AC/E), attending the Programming Department and their program for the internationalization of spanish culture, PICE.

More recently, since relocating to Dubai,  she started to work for the development and support of the performing arts scene of Dubai and the UAE by co-founding the cultural initiative HIBA Art Project.

As a freelancer, Inês has been involved in different artistic projects, either in their production, in creative roles or as an artistic consultant of the Dance field. She understands dance as one of the most complete artistic expressions and loves to work in projects centered in the interactions of dance with other artistic forms. She is mainly interested in the development of multi, inter and transdisciplinary art pieces. 

In her most recent freelance project, Ines took part in a video piece by palestinian audiovisual artist Mona Ayyash during her residency at Warehouse 421 (Abu Dhabi).
