HIBA ART PROJECT presents
An interactive dance performance-installation for children of 6 to 18 months
by Dansema Dance Theatre
THEATRE FOR EARLY YEARS
After the successful show of the dance performance PUZZLE in 2019, COLOURFUL GAMES in 2021 for babies and toddlers, and due to demand of cultural activities for families with young children, the Dansema Dance Theatre is coming back to Dubai with another artistic-educational work. The MEADOW is an interactive dance performance-installation for babies and toddlers from 6 to 18 months, where the little ones can have fun and explore dance and environment without the time limitations, that would normally prevent them from getting involved.
ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
Full of secrets, colored and soft meadow in which children together with the dancer are engageed to seek adventure and look for treasures, experience joy of discovery and communication, share their impressions and emotions. The form of performance-installation allows children to explore dance and environment without limitations in time needed to get involved.
The show is led by a dancer with a lovely presence and thoughtfully-constructed movements, who uses a variety of big top-themed props – from a small tent out of which her legs can pop, to ribbons, hoops, red noses and balls – to attract the little ones.
It is devised by the globally renowned Dansema dance theater & the choreographer/educator Birutė Banevičiūtė who approach their productions as entertainers, psychologists, pedagogues & artists in one. Through dance and interactions with a range of intriguing props, babies are motivated to engage with the performance in ways that are new to them. Parents across the globe consider it a transformative experience that helped them understand just how perceptive their little ones really are.
