NOVEMBER 5 – 7, 8.00pm | The Junction | Tickets: 100 AED

Theater within theater, or how to choose between fiction and reality, love that you live or love that you dream, stage or life?
Frédérick Lemaître was the star actor of the Romantic era and fascinated Paris with the strength of his acting. Close to the people and democratic ideals, fighting against censorship, he refused a proposal from the Comédie-Française to stay at the Théâtre des Folies- Dramatic, boulevard du Crime. Unfortunately, the play he has to play, L’Auberge des Adrets, is a bad melodrama that promises to be a failure. Brilliantly, Frédérick will make fun of it by interpreting it as a farce. Extravagant, revolutionary, seductive, libertine, Frédérick seems ready for anything but love. However, one evening he receives a visit from Berenice, a magnificent and mysterious young woman who attends all the performances. Upset, he will have to choose between fiction and reality. Dreamed love or lived love? The stage or the “real” life?
